Sassafras trees are native to North America and Eastern Asia

The American variety is known as 'laurel of the Iroquois,' in honor of the Indians who revered the Sassafras tree for its therapeutic properties. The sassafras tree is one of the oldest living plants on the planet. It's now found in many parts of the world, mainly due to global trade. Sassafras leaves have been used for centuries, and the extracts from the roots are still utilized to produce commercial items, albeit in reduced quantities. The essential oil was used to flavor root beer and other popular drinks. The sassafras tree was on the list of ingredients for root beer until it was deemed too expensive when artificial ingredients began to be included. With the aid of a heavy-duty extractor and a little creativity, you can make your own recipe at home.

Sassafras tree is an aromatic plant with roots and leaves that have a distinctive scent

This is why they are helpful in the production of essential oil. The oil is reddish-yellow in color and elicits a reaction that depends on the person taking it. The aroma is subtle and redolent with pleasing notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and citrus.
Do you smell that? Sassafras is a product that has the power to create mixed reactions. Some people would say it's like a soft, sweet, pleasant smell. Others would say it's more like an earthy, mint-like scent that lingers on your hands.

Sassafras trees are a simple, natural way to cleanse the body and eliminate infections. With the sassafras tree, Native Americans have always been able to find a versatile use for it . A typical sassafras tree can grow to between 10 and 15 meters. The leaves have three to seven points, which can give it a somewhat star-shaped appearance. It is common for the tree to develop burls and other deformities on the trunk, branches, and roots.
